ILOILO CITY – The city council here on Wednesday, Nov. 20, approved a P4.1-billion budget for 2025.
Next year’s budget is 14.83 percent higher than this year’s P3.6 billion.
Article continues after this advertisementIloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas, who has been on medical leave since late September, welcomed the city council’s swift approval of next year’s budget, saying that it will help the city government avoid delays.

“This landmark decision reflects the dedication and collaboration of our city council and all stakeholders in prioritizing the needs of our beloved Ilonggos,” the mayor said.
